Police and explosive experts from the Ministry of Defence have been called to a possible unexploded wartime device in Ramsgate.
A report was made at 2.52o today (January 15) of the device in the area of the British Red Cross charity shop in King Street.
A cordon was put in place between Brunswick Road and King Street but this has now been removed.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 2.52pm to a report of a possible unexploded wartime device in King Street, Ramsgate.
“Officers are currently at the scene, alongside explosives experts from the Ministry of Defence, whilst the item is investigated.
“A cordon, which was briefly in place between Brunswick Road and King Street, has been removed.”
they might have missed a trick there , a large bomb might well have improved ramsgate , especialy the King Street area of the town
