Emergency services were called for a welfare concern report after a man leapt from the promenade at the rear of Cliftonville Lido in the early hours on Saturday (December 13).
Police, paramedics, Coastguard and Probe security staff, who were already in the area, attended the scene.
The man landed on the beach, with an incoming tide, at around 1.30am.
Emergency crews attended and he was handed into the care of medical professionals.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 1.30am on Saturday 13 December to a report of concern for a person on Ethelbert Terrace, Margate.
“Officers attended along with emergency services and the person was handed into the care of medical professionals.”
