East Kent Colleges Group (EKC Group) has supported T Levels Week and celebrated the success of its T Level students, past and present.
T Levels are two-year courses developed in collaboration with employers to ensure that students are equipped with the skills they need to thrive in their chosen career path.
They offer a mixture of classroom learning and work experience, with at least 45 days spent on an industry placement with an employer.
With a T Level, students can progress straight on to skilled work, higher study or apprenticeships, and this week, EKC Group is proud to celebrate its students who have done just that.
Ryan Bleazard studied a T Level in Digital Production, Design and Developments at EKC Broadstairs College. After achieving a Distinction, he went on to study Computer Science at the University of Kent.
On results day, Ryan said: “I’m hoping to do robotics at university. I enjoy programming and there’s a lot of psychology involved in it as well so I’m combining it with Computer Science. It’s interdisciplinary.
“During my T Level course, I did my work placement with Thanet District Council in the district department. I had a great time there. The staff were lovely and I had interesting projects to be working on.”
