Mental Health United Thanet is back in action at the newly refurbished cages at Margate Football Club.
Thanet resident Danny Harris runs the team to help people who have struggles with mental health or addiction.
Set up in May last year, sessions started with just three people. Now, with help from fellow organisers Luke Menzies and Carl Morgan, this has grown to around 35 people attending in the last few weeks.
The sessions are held every Friday 7pm-8pm for men, women and children of all ages and abilities to join in for a friendly kick about and to have a healthy, non-judgemental outlet to talk and have fun.

Carl said: “At MHU we promote inclusivity. Our football therapy sessions are open to all with a real drive towards encouraging open conversations around mental health.
“People from all walks of life attend our sessions, I would urge anyone who has an interest in football and who may be struggling with their mental health to get in touch, dust off their trainers and come along, it’s good to talk and we’re a friendly bunch.”
The non-profit organisation aims to raise money and awareness for mental health through sport.
