Oktoberfest is coming to Thanet as it celebrates 10 years of the event.
Beer, food, music and community will be on offer on October 18 at Quex Park.
Oktoberfest will feature a selection of traditional German Bier that can be served in up to two pint steins, German food including bratwurst and pretzels, plus a range of other drinks including cider, prosecco, spirits and wine.
Customers can expect an all new Bavarian beer bar, mini trader village, photo booth and glitter. As well as Oktoberfest favourites such as Oompah bands performing their own blend of ‘oompop’ there will be support bands and DJs across all sessions.
Choose from two sessions:
Saturday Afternoon noon – 5pm
Saturday evening 6pm – 11pm
Tickets are available for; standing, unreserved bench seating and VIP tables, which include entry for up to 10 people, table service from waiters/waitresses, views of the stage and a free gift per person on the table.
Tom Cullen, from Oktoberfest, said: “We can’t wait to bring Oktoberfest to Thanet to celebrate 10 years of Oktoberfest! Festival goers can expect an even bigger show with many exciting additions for 2025! We expect tickets will sell quickly with VIP tables selling out first.”

will there be public transport laid on?
I think charging £25 to £30 is expensive just for entry when you’ve got beer and food to buy on top of that. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask when he was on the rob . lol

Oktoberfest has been happening in local pubs in Thanet for years. You don’t have to pay to get in. You just have to pay for the beer.

what a brilliant idea , in an area thats full of unemployed alcoholics to have a huge beer festival.
