Margate Soul Festival has announced a new partner for 2025.

In October soul festival founder and director Eli Thompson revealed Mi-Soul would no longer be a partner in the event after a 10 year run.

Now Street Sounds has been announced as the media partner. A pioneer in soul and dance music since the 1980s, Street Sounds, founded by  Morgan Khan, has been at the forefront of bringing soul music to a wide audience.

Eli said: “With Street Sounds as our media partner, audiences can look forward to exclusive coverage, artist interviews, and behind-the-scenes festival content that truly embodies our festival’s essence. Together, we’ll create an experience where everyone feels the power of soul, coming together “as one” for a celebration of music and community.”

Festival director Eli Thompson and Morgan Khan say blending  MSF and Street Sounds DJ line-ups will ensure every member of the “soul family” feels included.

This year the festival had a new beachside main stage (under the Lido sign), new free music stages such as the Balearic Beach Boutique and Disco Heaven in Margate’s Old Town.

Venues ran from the beachside Sun Deck opposite the train station to Bar Nothing and Margate Leisure Centre in Cliftonville, spanning spots such as Turner Contemporary, Barnacles and WhereElse.

They were linked by a free Margate Soul Train which ran between the train station and the key venues and main beachside stage.

Next year’s MSF runs from August 1st to 3rd.

Early Bird tickets are available from 29th November.
