GCSE results 2024: King Ethelbert School celebrates excellent results

King Ethelbert School GCSE students have demonstrated resilience, dedication, and academic excellence across a broad spectrum of subjects.

This year, half of all students achieved grades 9-4 in English and maths, with 10% of all students entered into English Language achieving a grade 7-9.

Among the standout achievements are:

Niamh McLaughlin achieved – 5 x grade 7s. Including 7s in English, Maths and Combined Science.

Raya Foord – achieved 6 x grade 7s including english Maths and Combined science.

Lucy R achieved 4 x grade 7+ including an 8-8 in combined science and an 8 in English Language.

Deputy Headteacher, Ryan Slattery said: “These results are a reflection of the hard work and commitment shown by our students, their families and our exceptional teaching staff. Our students have shown resilience and determination and these results are a testament to their efforts. We are incredibly proud of what they have achieved, and we look forward to seeing them continue to thrive in their future endeavours.

“As our students take the next steps in their academic and professional careers, whether continuing their studies at King Ethelbert’s Sixth Form, entering college, or pursuing apprenticeships, we wish them every success.

“We are confident that the skills, knowledge, and values they have gained at King Ethelbert School will guide them to future success.”
