Fifth person charged over Cliftonville robbery

A fifth person has been charged following an investigation into a robbery in Cliftonville.

Kent Police was called at 3.40am on Wednesday 24 July to a report that threats had been made to two residents after three men had entered a property in St Paul’s Road.

It was alleged that the victims were asked to hand over money and one man was assaulted before the suspects left the scene by car.

Officers attended and a man was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.

The investigation by Kent Police has already resulted in the charging of four men in connection with the incident.

On Wednesday 21 August, a fifth arrest was made by officers.

Soran Bisary, 53, of Melling Drive, Enfield, London, was charged the following day with robbery, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear.

He was remanded to appear at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court today (August 22)..
