Palm Bay Primary School wish Year 6 leavers all the best

Year 6 performance at Palm Bay

The final weeks of term have been filled with an array of hugely enjoyable events at Palm Bay primary. Pupils in Years 5 and 6 participated in an Inter-Trust Cricket Tournament, proudly securing second place for Palm Bay.

Additionally, Year 6 delivered a remarkable performance of Cinderella Rockerfella, impressing everyone with their exceptional acting and singing talents.

Year 6 concluded their time at Palm Bay with great enthusiasm. They embarked on a memorable residential trip to Kingswood, where they engaged in a variety of exciting activities, including a 3G swing zip wire and building campfires.

They enjoyed a visit to Betteshanger Park, where they competed in Nerf Gun challenges and tested air map skills during orienteering. The celebrations continued with a lively disco, adding to the festive spirit.

“After SATS it was a nice treat and I really enjoyed Kingswood.  My favourite part was the 3G swing, “ said Year 6 pupil Gabby.

On their final morning, the Year 6 leavers started the day with breakfast at Palm Bay Café, a whistle walk along the seafront and finally clapped into school by peers and staff, creating a memorable and touching moment.

The festivities concluded with an emotional leavers’ assembly, leaving many in need of tissues.

Departing headteacher Lizzie Williams extended best wishes to the exceptional Year 6 cohort as they transition from Palm Bay to secondary school.
