PEJ ABC Margate has been represented by three boxers at the annual Bristol Box Cup tournament.
The event, held at the Thornbury Leisure Centre, hosts clubs from all over Great Britain and Ireland for schoolboy boxers.
For PEJ ABC, Rio Licata, 11, won his semi-final by unanimous points decision and then in the final won by a second round stoppage.
Alfie Glithero, 11, won his bout by unanimous points decision and Ralph Mansfield, 11, won by a split points decision in only his third bout after competing against a highly rated youngster.
Coaches Mario Michael and Ian McDonald congratulate all three boxers for their achievements and all their hard work and effort they put in week in week out.
Mario added: “We would also like to thank gym owner Malwai Nijar of PEJ Court Properties for all his continued help and support. A big thank you also to SB Construction ( design and build ) for the box cup sponsorship.”
PEJ ABC is based at 17 Hatfeild Road, Margate.
Sessions are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday – juniors 6pm-7pm, youths and seniors 7pm-9pm.
