A wine and music event will take place in Margate next weekend.

Some 20 venues will take part in the LOW Margate weekender organised by Lee Coad, of Angela’s, Harry Ryder, of Bottega Caruso and Jeremy Duffy from Faith in Strangers.

There will be more than 100 different wines, some  to try and a variety of music will be staged.

Lee said : It is designed to get people to visit places all over Margate and realise that it is home to both a burgeoning wine and dining scene all with the added bonus of some incredible musical match-ups.”

On June 22 the Old Town Margate will play host to LOW Tasting Rooms where people can try wines from both importers and winemakers from across Europe and Great Britain. Organic, biodynamic and low-intervention winemakers will be on hand.

Venues across the town will be pairing wines, some unique to Margate, with music moving around some 20 venues including The Space in the High Street, a Summer Solstice party at Faith in Strangers in Cliftonville, Little Swift, Staple, Pomus, Louis on Sea, The Margate School and others.

There will be discounted rates on wines and a carefully curated selection of tunes from a varied selection of artists and DJs.

Saturday evening  will close with a ticket only summer solstice party at Faith In Strangers .

Sunday (June 23) will focus on pairing wine, music and food across the seafront in the Old Town of Margate culminating in a closing party and pairing at Sargasso on the harbour arm.
