A 38-year-old man is in custody following a disturbance on Ramsgate seafront today (May 31).
Police and paramedics were called to Harbour Parade at 11.06am where a man had suffered minor injuries.
Officers arrested a 38-year-old on suspicion of assault and possession of a bladed article. He remains in custody.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 11:06am on Friday 31 May to reports of a disturbance at a restaurant on Harbour Parade, Ramsgate.
“Officers attended the scene, where a man was reported to have sustained minor injuries.
“A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of a bladed article. He remains in custody and enquiries are ongoing.”
A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service added: “SECAmb were called shortly before 11:15am this morning to reports of a person in need of medical attention at the Harbour Parade in Ramsgate. Crews arrived and assessed one person on scene.”
