Burgess Hill Town  1    Ramsgate (2) 2

Dan Perry (61)                Joe Taylor (31 pen)

                                           Tijan Jadama (45+5)

Hillians kick off with two early attacks, the ball going out for a corner. The corner comes into the Rams area, a shot from Dan Perry going just wide.

Joe Turner for Rams, he goes down the left wing, beats two defenders, gets to the byline, crosses in the ball, evades all the Rams attackers and the Hillians clear.

Ninth minute, Rams have a freekick quickly played to Jordan Green. He cuts in from the wing but his effort lacks power as Finlay Holter, Hillians keeper, collects the ball. Rams go forward again as Green intercepts a misplaced Hillians pass, plays the ball down the line for Lee Martin, his cross again evades the Rams front line.

Fifteenth, a powerful strike from range as Lewis Taylor strikes for the Hillians, brilliantly blocked by Turner.

Rams go close as Martin sees Holter off his line. Martin’s lobbed effort has Holter back pedalling, the ball drifts just wide.

Twenty fourth, Perry forces an excellent save from Tom Hadler, the closest effort of the game so far.

Rams playing some very nice football as they get the ball out to Green, he cuts inside, beats the defender, Holter comes out to meet him, his mistimed challenge brings Green down. Joe Taylor places the ball on the spot and rifles home a thirty first minute penalty.

Green is having a field day down the right wing and is beating Oliver Downs, Hillians left back, with ease as he gets numerous crosses into the box as Rams attack.

Forty third, a Hillians freekick fired into the area, Hadler reacts quickly and claims the ball under pressure from Perry.

As we enter time added Rams have a freekick fired in by Martin.  The ball drops though at the feet of Marcus Allen, Hillians skipper, and he blasts clear. Five minutes into added time and Alfie Paxman recovers the ball in midfield, he plays forward to Taylor who lifts the ball over the Hillians back line and Tijan Jadama runs through as Holter comes out.

Jadama blasts the ball past him to score Rams second. There’s hardly time for the re-start and the whistle goes to end the half.

The Rams continuing to use Green down the right and he really is running Downs ragged as he beats him again and again just the final ball into the box not coming off for the Rams.

Fifty seventh, a brilliant cross in from Oliver Hamstead onto the head of Perry between the Rams centre backs, just over Hadler’s crossbar.

Sixtieth, Rams first substitute, Jadama replaced by Medy Elito.

Sixty first, a Hillians freekick taken by Martin Box toward the back post, headed back across for an un-marked Perry with a perfect strike back across Hadler to pull one back for the Hillians.

Sixty fifth, Hillians double substitution with Downs and Tahjae Anderson being replaced by Reggie Ward and Reece Hallard.

Rams still going forward as Martin goes forward, plays a pass when there was possibly a shooting opportunity, the pass goes to Green but he squanders the effort.

Seventy fifth, Rams sub as Green is replaced by Benni Bioletti, a like for like change.

A good Rams move as Joe Turner and Taylor play a couple of quick passes. Taylor plays the ball in behind the defence for Bioletti to run on to and shoot, rattling Holter’s crossbar.

Eighty second, Rams sub as Martin leaves the action replaced by Bode Anidugbe.

Rams are still coming forward creating chances, but no more goals as the game draws to a close. One last effort from Elito as the ball springs off the surface straight into Holter’s chest. The last action of the second half.
