Ramsgate Tandoori in Harbour Street is celebrating 35 years of business.
The restaurant serves traditional Asian curries and innovative chef’s specialties, together with takeaway and home deliveries.
Restaurant owners Raushan Ara and husband Reza say their success has been thanks to the professional and dedicated staff and their high standards and quality of service.
The restaurant first opened its doors in 1988 and has been a big supporter of local causes and charities over the years including Thanet Winter Shelter, Ramsgate Salvation Army, Stone Bay School, East Kent Mencap and more.
Raushan is also a familiar face at litter picks and community events and has previously been town mayor.
Rashaun said: “Ramsgate Tandoori has become a community hub, thanks to the large seating capacity. Many customers celebrate milestone events such as birthdays, and weddings and anniversaries at the restaurant.
“It has become a firm favourite with locals and we have had generations of customers’ families return over the 35 years.”
Raushan and Reza also use the restaurant as a venue for regular fundraising and community events .
The couple said: “We wish to thank all our loyal patrons and welcome new customers to become a part of the Ramsgate Tandoori family.
“Many customers continue to revisit the restaurant from overseas, thanks to the wonderful food and friendly staff.”
To celebrate the 35th birthday, the couple will be offering a bonus treat to customers dining at the restaurant over the coming days.
Salvation Army fundraising meal
On Wednesday 25th October they will be hosting a fundraising buffet meal to raise money for the Salvation Army Homeless Support. Tickets are £15 per person and £5 of each one will go to the Winter Shelter.
There are two sittings : 5:30pm – 7:30pm and 8pm -10pm. Reservations must be made with full payment.
