Children at Cliftonville Primary and Pre-School have enjoyed taking part in very special Harvest assemblies in support of a charity very close to the school community’s hearts – Thanet Food Link.
Assistant Head Teacher Caroline Spackman said: “We were incredibly overwhelmed by the generosity of our community once again this year. Thanet Food Link were delighted (and amazed!) by the quantity of food donated to their very worthy cause.”
As well as putting their hearts into singing their Harvest celebration songs, the children learned that Thanet Food Link is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this year and is almost entirely run by volunteers.
In the last year, Thanet Food Link were able to provide 124,749 meals to local families.
