More than 400 people  have taken part in this year’s Thanet 5K Colour Run raising funds for Pilgrims Hospices.

The family-friendly event which starts and ends at Palm Bay Green is an explosion of colourful fun as participants take in the coastal views as they run and walk through clouds of brightly coloured powder around the route.

Each year this popular event brings fun and laughter to fundraising for Pilgrims Hospices, and awareness of how important it is to support the local charity in its continued end-of-life care within the community.

So far, some £200,000 has been raised through the event since it launched in 2016.

Event organiser Karen Kenward, Pilgrims Community Fundraising Manager, said: “Our goal is to bring our community together for a day of fun while supporting a vital cause. We want participants to not only enjoy themselves, but also feel proud of contributing to Pilgrims Hospices care.”
