Man charged after seven parked vehicles hit in Addiscombe Road

A man has been charged after officers were called to a report that a car had crashed into parked vehicles in Margate.

Kent Police was called to the collision in Addiscombe Road at 3.41pm yesterday (August 8). No injuries were reported. Some seven cars were found to be damaged. Officers attended and made an arrest.

Vitalij Kovzan, 37, of Kings Mews, Margate, was charged today with driving a vehicle when his alcohol level was above the limit.

He was bailed to appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Monday 11 September.

The charge, following an investigation by Thanet’s local response officers, is the latest result as part of Kent Police’s Safer Summer campaign.
