Boy flown to London hospital after being hit by car in Cliftonville

A boy was flown to a London hospital after being hit by a car in Cliftonville last night (April 26).

Kent Police was called at around 7.50pm to the report of a collision in Zion Place.

Officers and other emergency services attended the scene.

A police spokesperson said: “A boy had sustained injuries and was flown by air ambulance to a London hospital. The road was closed in order to recover the vehicle but reopened at around 9.25pm.”

A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “SECAmb was called at approximately 7.45pm yesterday (26 April) to reports of an RTC involving a car and a pedestrian.

“Ambulance crews attended and were joined at the scene by the Kent, Surrey, Sussex Air Ambulance Service.

“The pedestrian was assessed and treated at the scene before being airlifted to hospital in London.”
