Crime author Mark Billingham to launch new book at fundraising event in Broadstairs

Bestselling crime fiction author Mark Billingham is coming to Broadstairs to launch his latest book and raise money for Oasis Charity

Oasis Domestic Abuse Service has joined forces with BroadstairsLit to host a special event with the novelist.

The event sees the launch of his new book  The Last Dance, with the introduction of new lead character DS Miller.

For the past 22 years Mark’s books have featured DI Tom Thorne, clocking up an amazing 21 Sunday Times bestsellers and selling more than 6 million copies worldwide.

His novels have also led to two successful TV series – Thorne by Sky One starring David Morrissey, and In the Dark by the BBC. A third is currently in development based on his 2020 novel Rabbit Hole which was named Crime Book of the Year by the Times.

The In Conversation with BroadstairsLit event will take place on Sunday, June 11 3pm at The Yarrow Hotel in Broadstairs and is being sponsored by Ramsgate based company Spurling Cannon Accountants

Included in the £25 ticket price is a glass of Prosecco and a cream tea.

Following the interview by BroadstairsLit’s Denise Martin-Harker, Mark will sign copies of his new book.
