A cool bright day at the WW Martin Community stadium as Ramsgate battle again with another promotion chasing side. This time it’s second v third, Rams won the reverse fixture back in December by three goals to one. They would certainly be looking for a repeat of that performance and to get back on track and to winning ways.

Hawks get us underway attacking the Town end, a very slow start to the game with the first 10 mins all very much sounding each other out.

17th best opportunity so far as Miller squeezes a ball through to Jadama running in one on one with Glover who makes a super save with his feet.

26th Hawks free kick edge of the Rams box, fractions wide of Bexon’s right post. Rams continue to press as we pass the half hour mark, however other than Jadama’s one on one neither of the keepers have had much to do.

40th Rams open Hawks up down the right, crossed over for Rowland but his header is over the bar. Tensions rising as the fans hear Chatham have taken the lead, Rams breaking quickly from a Hawks attack but the final shot from Osinfolarin off target.

Right on the stroke of half time Rams down the right crossed over by Rowland to the back post Carlse leaps to head home for the Rams to take a deserved lead as the half time whistle blows.

Rams start the second half brightly, although Hawks do have a good chance going forward as McIntyre clears off the line, Rams go straight up the other end and earn a penalty fired in and saved by Glover, the follow up put wide.

64th Hawks level as Rams shut off at the back allowing O’Toole in to level.

Both sides make changes after the goal with Rams replacing Rowland with Liburd & Hawks replacing Wright with Price-Placid.

Break ups in play with numerous players going down adding to time, 75th Hawks making another change with Harris being replaced by Lambert.

Rams make final changes with McIntyre & Osinfolarin being replaced by Carvalho & Riley-Snow, changing Rams formation giving them a more attacking set up.

88th Hawks change replacing Rogers with Miles, as Hawks now in the ascendancy push for that top play off spot, we hear that Chatham are now two up and declared champions at this point.

90+ Hawks corner, Bexon dives in to punch away, putting Rams on the attack, broken up as it’s end to end stuff now. As both sides push for the win it’s backs to the wall stuff for both defences up to the final whistle.
