Harvest donation to Ramsgate Salvation Army from St Ethelbert’s primary school

Salvation Army officer Paul visits children at St Ethelbert's

Pupils, families and staff at St Ethelbert’s Catholic Primary School & Nursery in Ramsgate have made a Harvest Festival donation to the town’s Salvation Army.

Food donations will be distributed by the Ramsgate Salvation Army to those in need. The charity is experiencing a huge rise in people accessing the food bank.

School manager Jane Vernon said: “St Ethelbert’s held its Harvest Festival on Monday 10th October.  Jacqueline, from the Salvation Army, Ramsgate, came into school to talk to the children about the work they do.

“The Salvation Army in Ramsgate were overwhelmed when we said that we would like to collect food for them this year. They said they have seen the biggest rise in people accessing the food bank.

“We had a huge response and were overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of our parents and local community.  The food was collected and will be distributed to those in need.  A huge thank you to everyone for their kind donations.”
