Police search for witnesses after man stabbed near Westwood

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault near Westwood where a man suffered stab wounds.

Between 7.50am and 8am on Friday 2 September, a man was reportedly assaulted by another man in Gordon Road.

He suffered a stab wound which required hospital treatment. The incident was later reported to Kent Police.

Officers have since been carrying out enquiries and are appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area, or who has any other information which may assist the investigation.

The suspect is described as white, in his 20s, around 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build, with wavy light brown hair and facial hair.

He was wearing a dark blue tracksuit top with a yellow stripe down the right shoulder and blue trousers. He is believed to have left the scene in the direction of Ramsgate Road.

  1. that sounds like another place in thanet thats to be avoided , there wont be anywhere left in thanet soon thats safe to enter

  2. no – its another stabbing , no paranoia involved – just good old fashioned common sense . this area is crime ridden , wake up !

I don’t think Real World is being paranoid he has a point a lot of people in Thanet are scared to go out at certain times of the day or night in areas where a lot of people have been assaulted I don’t blame them as I know how it must feel to them as having been stabbed myself back in 76 I was 20 and was worried about going out and for weeks after I kept looking around to make sure I was clear from anyone I didn’t know, he definitely is not paranoid, it is getting bad you only have to look at what has been reported here this year. And yet this is still no where near as bad as other towns and cities I’m lucky I got over the fear and everything that went with it but you don’t know how others feel especially if they have been assaulted in anyway.
