Why was he trying to escape the police has to be something illegal be it car, drink, drugs insurance or is he wanted, you don’t just speed off from the police for nothing, I just hope no one else was hurt.
The driver should’ve stopped, no one to blame but themselves, no sympathy for them at all. Hope the bus driver and passengers are all o.k.
This is sad , it says short pursuit so explained . The police have instructions to back off / stop if it appears to be a danger to life to others. There are many other ways be it a helicopter or other officers sitting at roads , roadblocks etc.
For whatever reason for not stopping the driver would have panicked and dove like he would not normally do.
