
Teddy Bears picnic fun, King Neptune and a Victorian beach party will all feature in the Broadstairs Water Gala on Wednesday (July 27).
The free fun includes activities and entertainment on the beach, promenade, bandstand and Victoria Gardens.

Activities and entertainment:
9am Teddy Bears Picnic at Lillyputt Mini Golf
All day bandstand activities – magic and entertainment from Jezzo, fun with Juggleitail, local stage schools performances, Princesses and Pirates, live music
Morning Paddleboard lessons from Kent Surf School
Craft and gift stalls along the promenade
Funfair on Victoria Gardens (ride charges apply)
Beach volleyball and sports activities
King Neptune arrives on the sea with Kent Surf School
Punch and Judy
Victorian Beach Party
Decorated Beach Hut Competition – Huts will be judged by Mayor Roy Dexter at 3pm
8pm Live music at the bandstand from HyperActive 80’s band
9.45pm Firework Display over Viking Bay
The RNLI Thanet Fundraising Group will also be attending from 10am until 4pm, collecting for RNLI Ramsgate. Also in attendance will be the RNLI Ramsgate Lifeboats, Operational Duties allowing (arriving around midday), The RNLI Water Safety Team (including a Life Jacket Clinic), The RNLI Face2Face Team & the RNLI Broadstairs Kiosk.
Proms by the Sea also takes place Wednesday evening from 7.30pm at The Pavilion.
After an enforced three year absence Thanet Male Voice Choir are back presenting this free concert (although donations are kindly accepted) They will be performing some of their old favourites as well as new pieces, including a couple they managed to learn during lockdown.
