  1. Going too fast for road. It happens occasionally when they don’t slow down in time as they are in such a hurry and must get in front of others driving more sensibly.
    Hope nobody was hurt.

  2. You shouldn’t speculate that speed was involved, the poor chap may have simply been trying to text a message, and taken his eyes off the road for 30 seconds or more. But what a silly place to put a roundabout.

  3. No doubts it was speed. Having taken my advanced driving test with the Kent Police Tutor for traffic police officers who test the likes of us, he was amazed that driving our routes which included Thanet, I avoided 3 road traffic collisions which included a double decker bus then 2 in Thanet,. When I said it’s same in Thanet on many drives but none of his officers ever seem to see it. THEY SHOULD HAVE DASHCAM FITTED THEN ALL DRIVERS COULD BE SURE THAT THEY FOLLOW THE HIGHWAY CODE AS POLICE ARE NOT IMMUNE! Sort out INSURANCE RIP OFFs as well.Hope they become mandatory, just as tachometers eventually did.

    • The driving standards in thanet are getting very bad. The amount of people who turn right from the left hand or straight on lane is crazy. Someone is going to get serious hurt with this new crazy of turn right from the left hand lane. Every roundabout we see it on a daily basis.
