Twins charged with Ramsgate bookies robbery

A second man has now been charged a robbery at Coral’s bookies in Ramsgate last week.

Kent Police was called to the Newington Road bookmakers just before 2pm on Wednesday, February 19 where it was reported cash had been stolen.

Ben Twyman, 29, of Westover Road, Broadstairs, was arrested in Ramsgate by officers yesterday (February 23). The Crown Prosecution Service later authorised charges against him of robbery, having a firearm with intent to commit a robbery, and assault of an emergency worker.

He remains in custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court via virtual link today.

His twin brother Luke Twyman, of Lancaster Close, was arrested in Margate on the same day as the robbery. He was charged with robbery and possession of a firearm and appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday. He was remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, March 23.

    • Tried stealing my trainers years ago out of a friends porch, had to go round the parents to get them back, I see they grew up to be standing pillars of their community. Scum
