The overall winner of the Dane Valley Woods photo of 2019 competition has been announced.
The steering group for the project had a theme of “Focus on the Seasons” throughout the year and picked one winner per season from pictures submitted by residents.
Of the final four a public vote resulted in:
Winter (14.6%) Sinead Le Blond
Spring (28.1%) Aiden James (AJ) Vagnarelli-Thoroughgood
Summer (18.8%) Bob Ward
Autumn (38.5%) Frank Leppard
A spokesman for the Dane Valley Woods committee said: “Congratulations to Frank Leppard, who is crowned our overall winner with his amazing autumnal sunset picture! Also a special mention to our runner up AJ, who was a mere nine years old when he took his fantastic spring blossom snap – a budding future photographer in the making!
A massive thumbs up to our other two finalists, Bob and Sinead, and thank you once again to everyone who submitted their photos.
