Young Thanet kickboxers to compete at world championships

Young kickboxers from Pyramid Martial Arts, based at Westwood Business Park, will compete at world championships in Canada next year after qualifying in bouts last month.

The Pyramid team fought their way to success at the London Open Sport Martial Arts Championships on November 24.

In their weight categories Ellis Bain, aged 10, took first place, Loki Simpson, aged 7, took first place and Oliver Milchard second place, Mark Vincent Tishchuk, age 7, placed third, Leon Besley age 14, (pictured below) taking first place to get through to the Word Kickboxing Union championships.

Ethan James, age 7, also competed  although sadly was not placed for the qualifiers. Coach Matt Milchard said: “I am very proud. A lot of our students fought and did really well.”

Adults Krav Maga : 7.30pm-9pm

Thursday

Pandas age 3-4 : 4.45pm-5.15pm

Pandas age 5-6 : 5.15pm-5.45pm

Kicking Kids age 7+ : 5.45pm-6.45pm

Adults Kickboxing/Self Defence 7pm-8pm

Saturday

Kicking Kids age 7+ : 9am-10am.
