Westgate man among three remanded over cannabis factory charges

A Westgate man is among three who have been remanded in custody after Kent Police officers uncovered two cannabis cultivations in the county.

The sites were uncovered in Upper Brents, Faversham, and Herne Bay High Street, on Friday (September 27) and are believed to have been run by the same suspects.

Both have been dismantled and cannabis worth around £60,000 has been seized.

Diamant Jaku, 26, of Beach Road, Westgate, Haxhi Gjocera, 31, of no fixed address, and Ajet Nerguti, 26, of no fixed address, have each been charged with being concerned in the production of a class B drug.

All three were remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (September 28).

At the hearing they were further remanded in custody and will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, October 25.
