Man arrested over attack in Dane Park but witnesses still needed

A man has been arrested and bailed after a person was found with serious injuries in Dane Park, Margate, last month.

But police are still seeking witnesses to the incident.

Officers detained a 28-year-old man from Margate on Saturday, August 31 following the assault that is reported to have taken place just before 5.20am that day.

The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered serious head and leg injuries during the incident. He was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Enquiries were carried out at the scene, including house-to-house calls, speaking with witnesses and reviewing all available CCTV.

The man arrested has been released on police bail until September 24.
