Not safe anywhere or at any time of the day all you can do is stay prepared
Oh for heaven’s sake! Most people don’t experience crime like this. For all I know, most people don’t experience crime at all.
How does one “stay prepared”?
Exactly-this was after all five in the morning, not in broad daylight. For all we know the victim & assailant may be known to one another as well. Dane Park is pretty safe.
Do you not remember the murder of Sonia Berry in this park
No, because I wasn’t alive in 1965, although I have heard about it & it wasn’t a total stranger attack either-one murder in a park nearly 55 years ago doesn’t make it dangerous.
Well let’s hope we not reading any more articles about attacks but I won’t hold my breath! And by the way there have been other incidents in this park.
Yes 5 am when was he attacked not known he could have been there from midnight or beforehand come on the only way to Stay prepared for any form of attack is don’t trust anyone as statistics say most attacks are done by someone you know. I just hope he recovers and can tell the police who did it. Potentially everywhere you go is dangerous 2 weeks before I moved here there was a rape in the park and another not long after. Also it doesn’t matter how much you think you’re prepared for it will still be a shock.
