Police release image of man wanted to assist in Cliftonville assault investigation

UPDATE: A man has since been questioned and police have requested the CCTV image is removed

Officers have issued an image of a man they want to speak in connection with an assault in Cliftonville.

Between 12.30am and 12.50am on Sunday, June 30 a group of people were walking down Ethelbert Crescent near to the junction with Edgar Road when a man approached them.

An altercation took place and the two women in the group were assaulted, receiving injuries. One of the women was taken to hospital. Officers attended the scene and enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone who recognises the man pictured in the CCTV image, or if they witnessed the incident itself, are asked to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/124845/19.
