A man has been arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order and assault following a large brawl on Margate main sands involving some 50 people and resulting in the reported assault of a child.
Kent Police officers and ambulance crews were called to the beach at 1.13pm today (June 29) to reports of the altercation involving two large groups of people.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “Officers were called at 1.13pm to reports of an altercation on Margate beach involving two large groups of people totalling about 50 individuals and reports that a child had been assaulted.
“SECAMB also attended. A 43-year-old man from St Albans was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order and assault.”
why cannot people just not be so and enjoy our beach without altercations
still would not be Margate without someone kicking off but hey stop being so!
Typical these days as many people no longer know how to behave in public. Not going to start blaming any factors on this just those individuals involved.
Why were the buses stopped my daughter and granddaughter couldn’t get home for hours nobody told them buses where stopped and they waited 2 hours then had to get a train and didn’t manage to get home till 11 last night.
