Cliftonville Primary and Pre-School not only has talented children – the parents have some amazing skills too.
Earlier this year, through the Parents Forum group, the school received an offer to have a banner made.
The children were asked for some designs which could be incorporated into a large banner that would represent the school as a community. The designs were judged and the best chosen. They were then cleverly crafted into a magnificent banner which will hang in the school hall and be used in parades in the future.
Deputy head teacher Louise Wilson said: “At an impressive four meters wide it makes a strong statement about our school, clearly displaying our values. The best news is that there is another being made to incorporate the designs of our younger children.
“We are fortunate to have such talented parents who will work with our children to create something so special, and are hugely grateful for the time and effort that went into our banner.”
