Man taken to Kings College hospital after being found in Cliftonville with serious injuries

A man has been taken to a London hospital after being discovered with serious injuries in Cliftonville today (May 10).

Police were called to Northdown Road, outside Days store, at 6.30am.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police officers attended Northdown Road, Cliftonville, after a man was found injured in the street at about 6.30am.

“The man was taken to a London hospital and his condition is described as serious. No criminal offences have been reported but enquiries are ongoing to establish how the man sustained his injuries.”

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance service said the man was assessed and treated by paramedics and taken to QEQM and then onwards to Kings College Hospital.

They said: “One ambulance and two cars attended the scene. We assisted and treated him and took him to QEQM Hospital where we liaised with the air ambulance and he made the onward journey to Kings.

“The man was in and out of consciousness and had a head injury.”
