Fundraising page launched following tragic death in Ramsgate of Paul ‘Hardrive’ Connell

Friends and family are grieving following the death of Paul Connell

A fundraiser has been launched to help the family of a man who was tragically pronounced dead following a fall from cliffs in Ramsgate on Tuesday (March 26).

The untimely death of Paul Connell, known as Hardrive, has shocked friends and family.

The former Foresters FC player, who was in his 30s, has been described as “lovely” and a “diamond” by those close to him.

He leaves behind his wife Lisa, brother Andy, mum Donna and dad Bob who have already suffered the family loss of two of Paul’s siblings.

The fundraiser has been set up by friend Elliot Austin, who said: “Paul was a friend to so many people, for all those that knew him he filled their lives with happiness and laughter. Let’s help his family at this sad time to give him the send off that he deserves.”

The aim is to reach a £1,000 target. Donations have reached more than £800 in less than 30 minutes.

Flowers and a Foresters’ shirt have been placed at railings overlooking Ramsgate seafront in tribute to Paul.
