Third teenager arrested over brutal attack on 12-year-old Charles Dickens student

A third teenager has been arrested in connection with a brutal attack on a Charles Dickens pupil yesterday (November 29).

The young girl was repeatedly punched in the face and kicked in the head during the assault in Arlington Gardens, Dane Valley.

The vile attack was filmed by onlookers and posted to social media where it was shared hundreds of times, to the disgust of the young victim’s parents.

Two girls, aged 13 and 14 from Margate, were arrested later that evening on suspicion of assault.

A third girl aged 15 has now also been arrested.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “The victim, a young girl, suffered a head injury during the assault that took place in Arlington Gardens at around 3.30pm. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is now recovering.

“Kent Police arrested two girls, aged 13 and 14, from Margate on suspicion of assault on Thursday 29 November

“On Friday 30 November a 15-year-old girl from Margate was also arrested in connection with the incident.

“All three people remain in police custody whilst enquiries continue.”
