A suspected drugs dealer has been arrested after officers seized Class A and B drugs while on patrol in Broadstairs.

At around 10.55pm on Wednesday (August 29) officers were on duty in Ramsgate Road when they saw a man behaving suspiciously.

A rucksack containing weighing scales, a phone and clear plastic bags was recovered in the area as well as a glass jar containing bags of cannabis. A small amount of suspected Class A drugs were also found.

A 26-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis, and possession of cocaine.

He has been released pending further enquiries.

  1. Hmmm. . . if he was “of no fixed address” it begs the question as to why he was released ? Surely he must have an address to presumably be given bail ?
