Broadstairs woman arrested for thefts and burglary

A woman has been arrested following multiple thefts and a burglary in Margate.

Items reported stolen from Tesco in Canterbury Road, Westbrook on Friday, April 27 and Monday 30 April, included meat and alcohol.

In Broadstairs High Street, cosmetics were also stolen from Savers on Wednesday 23 May.

Kent Police officers have been investigating a number of other thefts in the area including:

A stolen bank card from a property in Margate, which has been used multiple times to purchase goods between March and May

A stolen wallet, including cash, that was reportedly taken from a man standing at a cash point on Margate High Street on Sunday 20 May

A stolen car that was involved in a collision with a parked car during the early hours of Friday 20 April in Mickleburgh Hill, Herne Bay. The car was reported stolen from outside a house in Farley Road, Margate.

A 24-year-old woman from Broadstairs was detained in connection with the incidents on Friday 1 June.

She has been released on police bail until Thursday 21 June.
