Emergency services called to person hit by a car in Ramsgate

Police and ambulance crews are currently on the scene of an accident in Ramsgate involving a car and a pedestrian.

Emergency services were called at just after 11.30am to reports of a person hit by a car in George Street.

A South East Coast Ambulance spokesman said: “We are on scene following reports of a road incident involving a car and a pedestrian.

“The pedestrian is being taken to hospital. Injuries reported included a facial injury.”

A Kent Police spokesman added: “Kent Police received a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car at 11.45am.

“Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene in George Street, Ramsgate.

A man sustained injuries and was taken to a local hospital.”
