Your Leisure is recruiting for ushers and a head chef.
The business, which runs venues including Margate Winter Gardens and the Theatre Royal, is offering £28,000pa for the head chef vacancy
They say: “This will be an ideal opportunity for someone to widen their experience and skills in one of East Kent’s premier catering venues. The head chef would be involved in providing an extensive range of menus from 10-700 persons.”
The successful candidate will have:
- City and Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering or equivalent.
- Basic food hygiene certificate
- Full driving licence
- Previous experience of working in a busy catering environment.
- Able to work quickly and calmly under pressure
- Flexible approach to work as will be required to work evenings and weekends
- Previous experience in leading a kitchen brigade.

The casual usher roles are between £7.05ph and £7,50pm to work at Margate’s Winter Gardens.
The hours will include regular evening/night and weekend work.
Due to the hours of work only applications from people over the age of 18 can be accepted.
Post holders will be required to meet and greet Winter Gardens customers at various events including shows, concerts and dinners; to direct customers to the appropriate place in the venue and to be the first point of contact for customer queries.
Successful applicants will have excellent customer service skills and will preferably have previous experience in dealing with members of the public, although training will be provided for the right candidates.
