Police and ambulance crews called to two Ramsgate High Street emergencies

Emergency services were called to two incidents in Ramsgate High Street last night (January 30)

Kent Police was called by South East Coat Ambulance Service at around 5pm to a medical incident outside Poundland.

Officers attended the scene where a woman in her 40s had collapsed. Paramedics performed CPR on the woman who was then taken to QEQM hospital for further medical attention.

Police were also called by South East Coast Ambulance Service at 5.14pm to a crash involving two mopeds.

The riders came off their bikes and went into the back of a car.

Officers and ambulance crews attended the scene where a man received medical attention for a facial injury and was taken to QEQM.

The road was closed between the Chatham Street junction and the Ramsgate Leisure Centre site.

Pedestrians were also being diverted to other routes.

It reopened at 6.38pm.
