London drug dealer who targeted Kent is jailed

Wilkinson has been jailed

A London drug dealer who was targeting Kent has been jailed for four years and two months following a Kent Police investigation.

Russell Wilkinson, 36, from Hackney, was arrested when officers searched his home in November last year.

They found a quantity of heroin, self-seal bags, numerous sets of scales and cash hidden in a sock.

He was arrested a short time later with a mobile phone containing texts from clients requesting illegal drugs.

Wilkinson came to the attention of officers when they carried out enquiries into an unrelated incident in Broadstairs.

He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and was sentenced at Canterbury Crown Court on Friday 14 July.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Nathan Scamp said: “Wilkinson was identified during the course of a Kent Police investigation.

“Due to his links to Kent and his clear intention to sell heroin we’re confident that his arrest will disrupt the flow of Class A drugs into the county.”
