Police are searching for a driver who crashed into an historic wall, lamppost and bench in Ramsgate yesterday (May 12).
The driver and passengers of a hatchback car smashed into the Montefiore woods wall at the junction of Winterstoke Way with Dumpton Park Drive at 4.33am.
They left the scene before police arrived.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called to a reported single vehicle collision in Winterstoke Way, Ramsgate, at 4.33am on Friday 12 May. It was reported that a car had been in collision with a wall and a lamp post.
“The occupants of the vehicle are reported to have dispersed before officers arrived.
” Enquiries to locate them are ongoing.”
