A man has been rescued from a Ramsgate cliff ledge

Crews were called to The Paragon

A man in his 30s was rescued from a cliff ledge in Ramsgate this morning (May 13).

Kent Fire and Rescue worked with other emergency services to help the man on the cliff ledge at The Paragon overlooking Ramsgate Harbour.

With the help of the Coastguard line rescue team, a firefighter and paramedic were lowered onto the ledge between Military Road and Paragon Promenade.

Together the pair assessed the man and stabilised him before he was carefully rescued from the ledge by a height vehicle cage and stretcher.

He was then placed in the care of SECAmb paramedics. It’s not known at this stage how the man came to be on the ledge.

Crews were called out at 9.14am and completed the rescue by 10.50am.
