Ramsgate Micro Museum has scooped an excellence award

The Micro Museum in Ramsgate

Ramsgate’s Micro Museum has gained the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for the second year running.

The quirky museum in Church Hill is Kent’s only computer museum. Now in its fourth year the site, owned and run by couple Mike and Carol Deer, is dedicated to the history of computing and how the digital world began.

It holds a unique private collection of vintage home computers, games, toys and more, including devices from the early 20th to the 21st centuries along with history beginning with the time when man found a way to count.

The museum offers fun, history quizzes, gaming on classic computers, a toy hunt and, for this year, themed games each month.

Carol said: “We are delighted to receive this award.  The certificate is awarded on the sustained level of excellent reviews submitted by people who actually came to our museum during our last season. We are grateful that they made the time to tell others about what we have to offer.”
