Police are investigating after a motorist hit three parked cars and then fled the scene in Ramsgate last night (June 28).
Police were called at 11.21pm to the collision, close to the Hare and Hounds pub. A wall was also damaged in the incident.
Officers attended and two people were reported to have left the scene on foot following the incident.
A witness said police responded within a minute of the crash. They said: “It took 20 seconds from the car crash to the two blokes running away and then a further 40 seconds for eight people plus a police car to be there, so pretty quick.”
Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
