Police were called to The Grog Wench pub in Westwood on Monday following a report of a disturbance.
The pub was being run by couple Simon and Jody Weight but the pair handed in notice at the end of their first year’s tenancy.
It is understood Mr Weight was trying to collect goods but the property had been secured by the owner. The Isle of Thanet News is told police retrieved some goods but it is understood other belongings are still outstanding.
A Kent Police spokesman confirmed the call out, saying: “Kent Police was called at 9.50am to a report of a disturbance at the Grog Wench pub in Margate Road, Broadstairs.
“Officers attended to prevent a breach of the peace but no criminal offences were alleged.”
The pub is being marketed as To Let.
