Kent Police officers are appealing for witnesses following a hit and run in Queen Street, Ramsgate on Wednesday 19 July.

It is believed that a red Seat Ibiza was involved in a collision with a cyclist at approximately 2.25pm. Several roads were taped off, including George Street and Effingham Street.

The cyclist, a man in his 70s, was taken to hospital with a suspected head injury and has since been released from hospital.

The driver of the car failed to stop and a car, fitting the same description, was later discovered on fire in Kingston Close, Ramsgate, during the early hours of Thursday 20 July.

They are now asking anyone with information, who may have seen something and who has not yet spoken to police, to contact as soon as possible by calling 01843 222289 quoting reference 19-0832.
