An isle demolition firm is on site at the fire-hit Holly Tree pub in Cliftonville.
The charred remains are being partially taken down by the team from DDS Demolition tonight.
A source told The Isle of Thanet News: “It looks very dangerous. I believe they (DDS) will take down the dangerous parts to make it as safe as can it can be. Due to vibration of cars, the end wall or structure could collapse on to the road.”
Fire crews were called to the Northdown Road pub at 8.40am today. Some 20 firefighters and six engines, inclusing the specialist height vehicle, were used to tackle the blaze.
It was finally brought under control at 12.55pm when KFRS crews scaled down attendance to the fire which started in the roof of the building.
Three fire engines and a height vehicle stayed at the scene to damp down remaining hotspots.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. There are no reported injuries.
